Getting Started

Is algorx legitimate and safe?

Yes. algorx is a telehealth platform that connects you with licensed, U.S.-based medical providers and licensed pharmacies, operating in full compliance with U.S. healthcare regulations. Medications are dispensed by licensed U.S. pharmacies, and lab testing runs through CLIA-certified laboratories. algorx is also LegitScript-certified. Care is overseen by board-certified physicians, and your questionnaire is reviewed by a licensed medical provider in every state we serve.

What is algorx and how does it work?

algorx is a telehealth platform that connects you with licensed medical providers and licensed pharmacies for medications and lab testing, entirely online and without an in-person visit. You choose a treatment or lab, complete a short health questionnaire at checkout, and a licensed medical provider reviews it. For medications, if appropriate, the provider sends a prescription to a licensed pharmacy, which ships it to your door. For labs, you receive a requisition to visit a nearby Quest or LabCorp.

Where is algorx available? Do you ship to my state?

algorx currently serves patients within the United States only, and we can't process or ship orders outside the U.S. Not all medications are available in every state, so each medication's description lists any states where it isn't available. For labs, availability depends on whether direct-to-consumer testing is permitted in your state. When you open the lab section, a quick zip code check confirms your eligibility, and if DTC lab testing isn't permitted where you live, you'll see a "Service Not Available" message and won't be able to purchase labs.

How old do I have to be to use algorx?

You must be at least 18 years old to order medications or labs through algorx.

Do I need a prescription to order?

It depends on what you're ordering. For labs, no prescription is needed. You purchase directly, and a licensed physician signs your requisition. For medications, a licensed medical provider reviews your health questionnaire and, if treatment is appropriate, issues the prescription and sends it to a licensed pharmacy. You never need to visit a pharmacy in person.

Do I need to see a doctor or do a video visit?

No, there's no in-person or video visit required. A licensed medical provider reviews the health questionnaire you complete at checkout. When your order is approved, the provider sends a message through the secure chat in your dashboard with medication education and dosing instructions, and they'll also reach out there if they need more information before approving.

Do I need blood work or labs before I can order medication?

No. Labs aren't required to order any medication on algorx. You add the medication to your cart, answer a brief questionnaire, and a licensed medical provider reviews it before it's sent to the pharmacy.

Ordering Medications

How do I order medication?

Choose your medication, including dose and quantity, and add it to the cart. Complete a brief health questionnaire at checkout, and submit your order. A licensed medical provider reviews your questionnaire and, if treatment is appropriate, sends the prescription to a licensed pharmacy, which ships it to your door.

How long does it take for a provider to review my order?

A licensed medical provider typically reviews your questionnaire within 24 to 48 hours. If they need more information, they'll message you through the secure chat in your algorx dashboard. You'll get an email once your order is approved.

Why does my order still say Order Placed?

"Order Placed" means a licensed medical provider is still reviewing your questionnaire, which usually takes 24 to 48 hours. Once approved, your status updates to "Provider Approved" and your order goes to the pharmacy. If the provider needs more information before making a decision, they'll message you through the secure chat in your algorx dashboard, so it's worth checking there if your order has been in this status a little longer.

What do the order statuses mean?

Your order status is visible anytime in your algorx dashboard, and the sequence depends on whether you ordered medication or labs.

For medications:

  • Order Placed: your order is submitted and a licensed medical provider is reviewing your questionnaire, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Provider Approved: a provider has approved your order and sent it to a licensed pharmacy to be filled.
  • Shipped: your order has left the pharmacy and a tracking link is available.
  • Delivered: the carrier has marked your package delivered.

For labs:

  • Order Placed: your lab order is submitted.
  • Requisition Sent: your requisition has been sent electronically to Quest or LabCorp, and you can go have your blood drawn.
  • Completed: your results are available to view in your algorx account.

Why was my order denied or canceled?

Sometimes a provider isn't able to approve a medication based on your questionnaire responses. When that happens, your order is canceled and refunded. For guidance on next steps or other options, reach out to support@algorx.com.

How do I refill or reorder a medication?

To refill, just place a new order for the same medication on the website. There's no separate refill process, and each order is reviewed and filled individually.

I got a "duplicate order" message. What does that mean?

This message appears when the same payment is attempted more than once in a short window, usually from double-clicking the purchase button or refreshing during checkout. It's a safeguard to prevent you from being charged twice for the same order. Wait a moment and check your email for an order confirmation before trying again. If you're unsure whether your order went through, or you think you were charged more than once, email support@algorx.com and we'll confirm.

I ordered several of the same medication during a sale. Why is part of my order scheduled for a later date?

Pharmacies can only fill a set quantity of medication at one time. If you order more than that limit, which is common during a sale, the additional quantity is scheduled to fill on a future date rather than all at once. The order will ship automatically when it's time.

Do you offer testosterone or TRT?

algorx does not offer testosterone or hormone replacement therapy.

Do you carry a medication I don't see listed?

All currently available medications and doses are listed on the website. If something isn't listed, it isn't offered at this time. You're welcome to let us know what you're looking for at support@algorx.com, and we'll note your interest for future consideration.

Can I have my prescription sent to my local pharmacy, Walmart, or Amazon?

You can request it. algorx works with a set of partner pharmacies (Honeybee Health, ReviveRx Compounding Pharmacy, and Strive Pharmacy) that fill prescriptions ordered through the platform. If you'd like your prescription transferred to an outside pharmacy instead, place your order and then reply to your order confirmation email to request the transfer. Please note that the price listed on algorx reflects the cost of using the platform, and it still applies if your prescription is filled elsewhere. It doesn't cover any costs charged by an outside pharmacy, so you'll be responsible for whatever that pharmacy charges for your medication. We also can't guarantee that medications available through our partner pharmacies will be available through other pharmacies, and availability, pricing, or insurance coverage may vary.

Where do I find dosing instructions for my medication?

When a licensed medical provider approves your order, they send a message through the secure chat in your algorx dashboard with medication education and dosing instructions specific to you. Your dosing instructions are also printed on your medication label or included on the package insert. For any questions about your dose or how to take your medication, reply to your provider right there in the chat.

Choosing Your Treatment

Can I get a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for my medication?

We understand why you're asking. Companies selling products labeled "For Research Use Only" often provide COAs as part of their sales process, but those products aren't approved or intended for human use. algorx is different: we're a telehealth platform that partners with licensed medical providers and licensed pharmacies, not a research-chemical supplier. Your medication is prescribed by a licensed medical provider after a medical evaluation and dispensed by a state-licensed, FDA-registered compounding pharmacy.

Because compounded medications are prepared for an individual patient, there's no manufacturer-issued COA for the finished product, just as there isn't for commercially manufactured medications. Instead, compounding pharmacies maintain COAs for the raw active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and verify each one's identity, potency, and purity before compounding. Licensed compounding pharmacies also follow strict USP standards and state and federal regulations covering ingredient sourcing, quality checks, pharmacist verification, and full batch documentation.

If you have questions about your specific medication or a pharmacy's quality processes, you're welcome to contact the dispensing pharmacy directly, and their licensed pharmacists can help.

Ordering Labs

How do I order lab tests?

Choose the lab panel or individual biomarkers you want, add them to your cart, and check out. You'll receive a requisition and instructions to visit a nearby Quest or LabCorp location to have your blood drawn. Once the lab processes your results, you'll be notified and can view them in your account.

Do I need a prescription or doctor's order to get labs?

No. You can purchase labs directly, no prescription needed. A licensed physician reviews and signs your requisition for the labs you select, so there's nothing you need to bring or arrange in advance.

Why does the lab order ask for my zip code?

Your zip code is used only to confirm you live in a state where direct-to-consumer lab testing is permitted. It's a quick eligibility check, and it doesn't affect pricing or which panels you can order.

Can I order more than one lab panel at a time?

Please place a separate order for each lab panel or draw you intend to have done, so each one gets its own requisition and can be scheduled and drawn on its own.

Can I order labs for my spouse or someone else?

No. Each person's labs must be ordered under their own algorx account. Because lab orders involve identity verification and a physician-signed requisition tied to the individual being tested, orders can't be placed for another person from your account. Whoever is being tested should create their own account and order their labs there.

What's the difference between curated panels and custom testing?

Curated panels are pre-built sets of biomarkers designed to give you a comprehensive view across areas like hormonal, cardiovascular, inflammatory, metabolic, and nutritional health. Custom testing lets you select individual biomarkers with no minimums, so you can test exactly what you want. Both use the same advanced markers used in performance and preventative medicine.

What's included in your lab panels?

Each panel lists its full set of biomarkers on its product page, so you can see exactly what's measured before you buy. Panels are built to cover key areas of performance and preventative health, and you can always add individual markers through custom testing.

Why do I see "Service Not Available" when I try to view labs?

Lab testing regulations and licensing requirements vary by state, and algorx can only offer direct-to-consumer lab testing in states where it's permitted. If you see this message, it means DTC lab testing isn't currently available where you live. Medications may still be available to you, and you're welcome to check back as we expand, or contact support@algorx.com with questions.

Lab Results

How long does it take to get my lab results?

Most standard labs are ready in about 7 to 14 business days. Some results may be available sooner, while more advanced testing may take longer. As soon as your results are finalized, you'll get an email notification, and you can view them securely in your algorx account dashboard.

Where do I view my lab results?

Your results are available securely in your algorx account dashboard. Once the lab finalizes them, you'll receive an email letting you know they're ready to view.

I already had my labs drawn. How do I get my results?

Once Quest or LabCorp processes your samples, your results are posted to your algorx account dashboard and you'll get an email with a link to view them. This usually takes 7 to 14 business days after your draw. If it's been longer than that, reach out to support@algorx.com and we'll check on the status.

One of my lab markers is missing. What does that mean?

Occasionally a single marker doesn't process, for reasons like insufficient sample volume, clotting, or a handling issue at the lab. When this happens, the lab (Quest or LabCorp) usually approves a free redraw for that marker, and our team will reach out with instructions. Note that labs only redraw the missing marker at no cost, not the full panel. If you'd like to retest other markers by choice, we're happy to help you reorder them in the most cost-effective way.

Can a doctor review my lab results with me?

No. algorx providers don't interpret or review lab results. Your results are yours to view in your algorx account dashboard and to discuss with your own healthcare provider.

Is a lab review included when I buy a lab panel?

No. A lab panel covers the testing itself, and it doesn't include a review or interpretation. algorx providers don't interpret or review lab results; your results are yours to view in your algorx account dashboard and to discuss with your own healthcare provider.

How long is my lab order valid, and what happens if it expires?

Lab orders are valid for up to one year from the date of purchase. If you haven't had your blood drawn within that year, the order expires and is no longer eligible for a refund or store credit. To have labs done after your order expires, you'll need to place a new lab order.

Can I get a copy of my lab requisition?

Your lab requisition is emailed to you within minutes of purchase, so check your inbox (and spam folder) for it. It's also sent to the lab electronically, so you usually don't need to bring a copy to your draw. If you can't find your requisition email, contact support@algorx.com and we'll resend it.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does it take to get my medication?

A licensed medical provider typically reviews your order within 24 to 48 hours. After approval, generic medications usually ship within 1 to 3 business days. Compounded medications may take 5-7 business days to prepare, followed by 1 to 3 days for shipping. If you don't receive your order within 14 business days, please email support@algorx.com for assistance. You'll get a tracking link by email and text as soon as each shipment is on the way.

How do I track my order?

You'll receive a tracking link by email and text once your order ships. You can also view the status and tracking for every shipment anytime in your algorx dashboard.

Why does my order still say Provider Approved? When will it ship?

"Provider Approved" means a licensed medical provider has approved your order and it's with the pharmacy being filled. Generic medications typically ship 1 to 3 business days after approval. Compounded medications may take 5-7 business days to prepare, followed by 1 to 3 days for shipping. Your status will update to "Shipped" with a tracking link as soon as it's on the way. If it's been longer than expected, email support@algorx.com and we'll check on it.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Orders of $250 or more ship free.

Why did I only receive part of my order?

Some orders include medications from more than one pharmacy partner, so they ship separately and can arrive on different dates. This is normal. Each shipment has its own tracking link, and you can see the status of every item in your algorx dashboard.

Is my order shipped discreetly?

Yes. Orders ship in discreet packaging. The contents aren't identified on the outside, though the packaging may include the pharmacy's name, since your medication is dispensed by a licensed pharmacy.

Can you change my shipping address after I've placed my order?

Possibly, if the order hasn't shipped yet. Email support@algorx.com as soon as you notice, with your order number and the correct address, and we'll update it with the pharmacy if there's still time. Once a package is in transit, we can't change the address, though you may be able to redirect or hold it for pickup by contacting the carrier directly. Please note that any redirect or hold you arrange with the carrier is at your own risk: algorx and our partner pharmacies aren't responsible for unsuccessful deliveries that result from a carrier redirect.

My package says delivered but I never received it. What do I do?

First, check around your delivery area, including your porch, mailbox, neighbors, and building front desk, since carriers sometimes mark packages delivered slightly early or leave them in an alternate spot. If you still can't find it, contact the carrier to file a claim, and email support@algorx.com within 5 days of the delivery date so we can assist where possible.

My order arrived damaged. What do I do?

Email support@algorx.com within 5 days of the delivery date with photos of the product and the packaging, and we'll help make it right.

My medication arrived warm. Is it still okay to use?

Cold-shipped medications are packaged to stay refrigerated for an extra 24 to 48 hours, so they generally remain stable for up to 8 to 9 days in transit. The ice packs are there to keep your medication stable on the way to you, and it's normal for them to arrive melted, that doesn't mean the medication was affected. If your medication arrived warm, email support@algorx.com to report it as soon as possible, within 5 days of delivery. We'll coordinate with the pharmacy to determine whether the medication is stable and safe to use, or whether a replacement is needed.

How long do I have to report a missing or damaged item?

Report any missing or damaged item to support@algorx.com within 5 days of your delivery confirmation so we can help. Please include photos of the damaged package and medication with your email to expedite processing.

09 questions

Cancellations & Refunds

How do I cancel my order?

You can cancel for free from your algorx dashboard any time before a provider approves it, no charge, full refund. Once a provider approves the order, it can no longer be canceled from your dashboard; email support@algorx.com and we'll do our best to help before it ships (fees apply). Once an order has shipped from the pharmacy, it can't be canceled or refunded.

Can I cancel my order after a provider has approved it?

You can't cancel from your dashboard once your order is approved, but you can email support@algorx.com and we'll do our best to help before it ships. Two things to know: the $15 provider fee is non-refundable once a provider has reviewed and approved your order, even if it hasn't shipped, and any approved refund is subject to a 25% processing fee covering administrative and service costs. The $15 fee is paid directly to the licensed medical provider for reviewing your order, and algorx doesn't keep any part of it.

Can I cancel or get a refund after my order has shipped?

No. Once an order has shipped it can't be canceled or refunded, and the pharmacy can't accept returns on medications once they've been dispensed, for safety and compliance reasons. If an item arrives damaged or defective, report it to support@algorx.com within 5 days of the delivery date and we'll help.

I placed a duplicate order, can you cancel one?

Email support@algorx.com with your order number as soon as possible. If the duplicate hasn't shipped, we'll help cancel it; refund fees may apply once a provider has approved the order. Approved refunds post within 7 to 10 business days.

What is your refund policy?

You may be eligible for a refund if your order hasn't shipped yet or you haven't had your blood drawn yet.

For medications:

  • All approved medication refunds are subject to a 25% processing fee.
  • If a provider has already reviewed and approved your order, the $15 provider fee is non-refundable.
  • Once your medication has shipped, it cannot be canceled or refunded.

For labs:

  • A full refund is available within 90 days of purchase if you haven't had your blood drawn.
  • Store credit is available after 90 days and up to one year.
  • After one year the order expires with no refund or credit.

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 7 to 10 business days. Full details are on our refund policy (https://algorx.ai/refund-policy) page.

Why can't I return or get a refund on my medication?

Once a medication has been dispensed, the pharmacy can't accept it back, a safety and compliance rule that applies to every pharmacy, not just algorx's partners. Compounded medications are also made specifically for you, so they can't be resold or returned. If your medication arrived damaged or defective, report it to support@algorx.com within 5 days of the delivery date with photos of the product and packaging.

Can I get a refund for a lost or stolen package?

Per our shipping policy, algorx isn't responsible for packages once they ship from the pharmacy. We can't refund or replace packages confirmed delivered by the shipping provider. If tracking shows delivered but you can't find the package, check around your delivery area (porch, mailbox, neighbors, front desk), contact the carrier to file a claim, and let us know at support@algorx.com so we can assist where possible.

Can I get a refund on a lab order?

Lab refunds depend on how long it's been since your purchase, and whether you've had your blood drawn:

  • Within 90 days of purchase: if you haven't had your blood drawn, you're eligible for a full refund.
  • After 90 days and up to one year: if you haven't had your blood drawn, store credit is available.
  • After one year: your lab order has expired and is no longer eligible for a refund or store credit.

Once you've had your blood drawn, the order is no longer refundable, since the service has been provided.

Do you charge any cancellation fees?

Canceling a one-time order from your dashboard before a provider approves it is free, and you'll receive a full refund. After approval, the $15 provider fee is non-refundable, and any approved refund is subject to a 25% processing fee.

If you cancel before completing 3 cycles, a $30 early-termination fee applies for each remaining cycle. After 3 cycles, you can cancel anytime at no fee. Note that there's no refund for unused time on your current cycle.

Do I still have to pay a provider fee for each subscription renewal?

Yes. A $15 provider fee applies to every medication order, including each subscription renewal. algorx doesn't receive any portion of this fee. It's paid directly to the licensed medical provider responsible for your care and prescription management, who reviews your treatment at each refill.

Will my subscription price ever change?

Subscription prices may change over time, for example in response to pharmacy price increases. We'll always give you prior notice before any change takes effect.

Loyalty Program

What is the algorx Performance Club?

The Performance Club is algorx's free rewards program. You earn points on purchases and account milestones, move up membership tiers based on your annual spend, and redeem points for account credit, free shipping, and lab retesting. Signing up is free and earns you 250 points to start.

How do I join the Performance Club?

Create an algorx account. Membership is free, and you'll earn 250 points instantly when you sign up. Every qualifying purchase after that earns points automatically.

How do I earn points?

You earn 1 point for every $1 spent on labs and medications. You can also earn bonus points: 250 for creating an account, 500 on your birthday, 500 for your yearly membership anniversary (with a recent purchase), 750 for keeping a subscription active 6 months in a row, 1,500 for keeping one active 12 months in a row, and 1,000 for each friend you refer who makes a qualifying purchase.

How do the membership tiers work?

Tiers are based on your rolling 12-month spend, and higher tiers earn points faster:

  • Base: free with an account; 1 point per $1 (2% base value)
  • Elevated: $1,500 annual spend; 1.25 points per $1 (2.5% value), plus early access to new products, stacks, and labs, and free standard shipping
  • Elite: $2,500 annual spend; 1.5 points per $1 (3% value), plus a free birthday longevity treatment, and all Elevated perks

How do I redeem my points?

You can redeem points for account credit toward your next order, free shipping on an order, or retest bundles for biomarker retesting and lab panels.

How does the referral program work?

Share your unique referral link by text, email, or copied link. When a friend creates an account and makes a qualifying purchase, you earn 1,000 points once their order is confirmed, with no limit on how many people you can refer.

Do my points expire?

Yes. Points expire 12 months after they're earned, and they're non-transferable. Program terms are subject to change.

Account & Verification

How do I create an account?

There are two ways to create your algorx account. You can sign up directly at algorx.ai/sign-up, or you can select the medication or lab you want and begin checkout, and you'll be prompted to create your account along the way. Either way, you'll provide some basic information and verify your identity, then complete your health questionnaire.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Identity verification confirms you're the person placing the order and meet the requirements to be prescribed medication or to order labs. It's a standard safeguard for any licensed telehealth platform and helps keep your account and prescriptions secure.

I'm having trouble uploading my ID. What should I do?

First, make sure you're uploading a clear, well-lit photo of the front of a valid government-issued ID, with all corners visible. If it still won't upload, try a smaller file size. If it's still not working, email a photo of the front of your ID to support@algorx.com and we'll upload it for you.

My name or date of birth is wrong. How do I fix it?

You can update your name yourself on your My Profile page. In the Personal Information section, click "CHANGE" to unlock the fields, edit your First or Last name, click "CHANGE" again, then "SAVE." Your date of birth can't be changed yourself, because it's verified against your government-issued photo ID and must match exactly. If your date of birth is incorrect, email support@algorx.com and we'll fix it for you.

I can't log in. What should I do?

First, double-check you're using the email address associated with your account, and that your password is entered correctly. If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password" link to reset it (see below). If you're sure your details are right and still can't get in, email support@algorx.com and we'll help.

How do I reset my password?

Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. You'll receive an email and/or text message with a link to reset it. Only click the link once, as it expires after a single click. If you click both the text and email links, it won't work. If you're still having trouble, email support@algorx.com and we'll help.

How do I update my address or contact information?

You can update this yourself on your My Profile page (go to algorx.ai/profile, or open your account menu and select My Profile). Your name, phone number, and address are all in the Personal Information section. To make a change, click the "CHANGE" button for that section to unlock the fields, make your edits, click "CHANGE" again, then click "SAVE" to confirm. Each section is edited on its own, so be sure to use the CHANGE button for the section you're updating.
